Lesson Plans and Worksheets

Bring the habitats and wildlife of Nova Scotia into your classroom! Designed to complement Explore the Habitats and Wildlife of Nova Scotia, these engaging lesson plans and student worksheets encourage young learners to discover the incredible diversity of life found across our province. Developed with Grade 6 students in mind and connected to the Nova Scotia Science curriculum, the resources explore forests, wetlands, freshwater ecosystems, coastal habitats, and more through hands-on investigations, creative activities, scientific observations, and critical thinking. Each lesson includes guidance for teachers, corresponding book page references, and activities that help students develop their understanding of biodiversity, adaptations, and the connections between living things and their environments.
